Artistic Quickshot

galatheaThis week I made a quick wallpaper from The End. I am pretty sure I am not remotely done with arting that episode. *g* I was fiddling around with it way too much these last couple of days, so I thought I put it out in the open, because usually that's the only way to stop me from doing that. :)
Derelict: This wallpaper is a simple character piece for future!Dean from The End. I simply tried to recreate the symbolism of the show itself here. Future!Dean is cold, dark and broken and his state of mind is symbolised in the wreck of his once beloved Impala. Everything around Dean is derelict, and it's reflected in him. So, in the forefront we have the destroyed Impala in front of the destroyed world and Dean emerging from it, a violent and dark man. I chose black and white for this to emphasise the bleakness of the scenario and only kept some red at the sides as a contrast. As a sidenote: The Impala cap was a bitch to work with, as the shot was fleeting and the cap was very, very dark. I tried to enhance it as much as I dared, but obviously the image quality is sub-standard. I hope it looks okay and doesn't bring the piece down too much, but I really wanted to use that shot. *g*
