I had so much fun making Grimm icons the other day, I thought I’ll make some Supernatural icons as well, and since I didn’t have anything better to do yesterday – apart from review writing, but I wasn’t really in the mood – I decided to seize the day and get to work. I settled on icons from my favourite episode of the current season, namely Everybody Hates Hitler. Enjoy!

The other day

bittersweettwit lamented the fact that he doesn't have enough Grimm icons and since Grimm is one of my favourite shows at the moment, I gladly offered to remedy that situation. I didn't really play around with icons lately - or any art, really - so I feel a bit rusty, but I think they came out okay. These icons are mainly from the episodes Face Off and Mr. Sandman, but they are not really spoilery.

The Game Of Thrones finale was epic and breathtaking and overwhelming and since I don’t have the time to write an extensive review for the show, I have to express my love in some other way. So, here is yet another set of icons, this time from the finale episode. *g* They are very simple, so please don’t expect too much. Naturally there are spoilers, especially for the last shot of the episode, which will stay with me for a very long time. Enjoy!

These last couple of weeks I have been very distracted by this annoying thing called real life, that’s why I am so behind with my reviews for the S6 finale. I am still working on them, so I thought that in the meantime I'd post a couple of icons that have been lying around on my computer. A while ago I started an icon collection about casual touches between the brothers. You know, touches that are meant to be comforting, reassuring or supportive, playful touches, touches with the simple intent to guide or direct - touches that (mostly) happen outside the context of Sam or Dean being injured. Often these touches are too fleeting to be caught in a screencap, that’s why I didn’t get far with my collection, but here is what I have gathered so far. :)

You know, I do watch shows other than Supernatural - way too many of them, actually - and Game of Thrones is one of them. I fell fast and hard for the show - basically within the span of the opening teaser - and it has such a gorgeous cinematography, I really wanted to make some icons. In the end I made more character icons than landscape ones though. I didn't find a source for screencaps yet, so I had to make due with the few images I was able to find on the internet. Anyway, if you're not watching this show, I can highly recommend it. It's a fascinating story about political machinations and intrigue in a medieval-like world with interesting fantasy elements thrown in for good measure. The acting is outstanding, the world building is careful and intricate and the characters have depth right from the start. The show really takes its time to highlight the characters and the world they live in, and I appreciate the slow pacing. So far I didn't really find a single thing to complain about the show. It's the highlight of my Mondays! ♥

I know it's been quiet around here lately, but RL really kicks my ass right now, so I have barely any time for the fun things in life. Over the past few months I made icons here and there and I thought I might as well post them. Some are from Swan Song, but the others are from S1-3, because I am on my annual SN rewatch marathon at the moment.

The other day I had a chat about Monster Movie in which, sadly, everyone I talked to confessed their profound dislike of the episode. Me, I adore the episode to bits and after the depressing discussion I felt the urge to rewatch the episode, just to fall in love with it all over again. So, I made some icons. They are pretty simple, mostly I just tried to play with different croppings. Enjoy! :)

There were some really pretty shots in Good God, Y'all and I couldn't resist to make some very simple avatars. :) I guess the fact that I wanted to make icons about it, shows pretty well how much I loved the new episode. Review will be out on Sunday I think. :)

So, art and I are not on the best terms at the moment. I don't feel very motivated to open PS and even when I do, things don't really turn out the way I plan them. I have a couple of conceptual arts in mind, but I can't find the right images and some of the episodic wallpapers simply refuse to get pinned down. So I made icons, mainly from It's A Terrible Life. I am not all that happy with these, but I thought I'd post them nonetheless. Enjoy!

The end scene of Yellow Fever reminded me of the fact that Supernatural has this fabulous knack for beautiful scenery shots with the boys or the Impala or both. So I thought why not make a small icon batch with some of these shots. I went without my beloved icon textures and gradients this time and only worked with the natural colours. Hope you enjoy!

Over the last couple of weeks I watched all three seasons of Dr. Who (2005) and fell in love with this goofy show, that somehow sucessfully combines the silly & cheesy with the exciting & heart-wrenching. It's rare that I fall for light-hearted shows, so that was a pleasant surprise. I initially wanted to make art, but then settled for icons instead.

llywela13 who made me watch the show in the first place. I hope these icons make her smile and cheer her up a bit! ♥ A tiny apology for my lack of attentiveness on Sunday. :)
