New Salt'n Burn Layout

S5 is approaching fast and I didn't update my website for months, so I thought I really should get Salt'n Burn ready for the new season. Today I finally managed to muster up the energy and enthusiasm to get it done and not only made a new layout, but also added S5 pages to my Supernatural art and review section. I hope that wasn't too optimistic, considering the fact that I barely made any art these last couple of month! *g* And since it's really no huge effort to make a layout into a wallpaper, I did that as well.
Wasteland: So, this is nothing fancy or overly deep, just a PS quickie. :) We will start the season with the brothers' relationship in ruins and the apocalypse looming around the corner, so I thought my layout should reflect that. It's dark and cold colours are dominant, the world is a wasteland and Sam and Dean look appropriately grim. Let's hope things'll look up sooner rather than later. :)

You all know the drill, no posting elsewhere and no pretending it's your own. Just for private desktop use! *g* Resources as usual over at Salt'n Burn!
By the way, I get a lot of questions about my tagboard on Salt'n Burn, because tags don't seem to show up. Don't worry, tagging works fine, it's just that I screen my tagboard at the moment, because of spam problems. Usually I add the genuine tags manually to the tagboard within a day or two. So, nothing is lost. :)

Date: 2009-08-19 06:33 pm (UTC)LOL so much for me winning the race! I didn't manage to write a word today. I guess I'll have to make up for that tomorrow. I really want to have that essay finished this weekend. :)

Date: 2009-08-19 06:49 pm (UTC)I still reckon you will win the race, though *G*
And the delay was so totally worth it!
...heck, I should think about adding a page for S5 to my recap pages, too, shouldn't I? New season is so close now! Where did this summer go? Wasn't it only May just a moment ago...
*makes mental note to get that set up*

Date: 2009-08-19 06:57 pm (UTC)Yep, you totally should, don't wait too long. *g* I was looking at the calendar today and realised it's only 22 days and then I panicked, what with needing a new layout and new pages and the little banners I had to do for them, so I got my head together and got it over with.

Date: 2009-08-19 07:11 pm (UTC)*panics*
*hyperventilates*
There is no way on this earth I will get those final recaps done by then! And then next season I will be behind before I even begin and no recaps will ever be completed in good time ever again!
Sheesh. There just aren't enough hours in the day - or brain cells in my head LOL

LOL It'll be all right on the night. No pressure, right? *G*

Date: 2009-08-19 08:11 pm (UTC)As for the wallpaper... *grins* Simple, nicely done and gets the point across. *snuggles wallpaper*
*goes to harass her own muse (Hey! Wakey-wakey!)*

Date: 2009-08-19 08:23 pm (UTC)Yeah, it's nothing spectacular or anything, just something I threw together in 2 hours. But it's okay for a layout. :)
Go and art. If I don't, others should at least make up for that. *g*

Date: 2009-08-19 08:26 pm (UTC)And, I'm wondering how is it that you put many to shame with something done in just two hours. *parental voice* It's embarrassing for the rest. Stop it.
*grins*

Date: 2009-08-19 08:47 pm (UTC)Ah, c'mon. It's really not that good. It's just a basic standard blend. It isn't anywhere near my best work. LOL
*hugs*
no subject
Date: 2009-08-19 09:05 pm (UTC)And yes. Standard blending, but it's refreshing to see you so something simple for a change.

Date: 2009-08-19 09:23 pm (UTC)ROFL I prefer to do complex stuff, but it's refreshing to not spend 16 hours on a wallpaper too. ;)
no subject
Date: 2009-08-19 09:59 pm (UTC)And yeah, complex is fun, but it completely boggles the eyes. I spent 6 hours on a griffin manip the other day and by the time I was done, my eyes were bloodshot. Can't imagine how you'd look after 16 hours.
no subject
Date: 2009-08-19 10:17 pm (UTC)ROFL I don't spend 16 hours in one session, it's spread out over a couple of days with these kinds of wallpapers. :)

Date: 2009-08-19 10:31 pm (UTC)*sigh* Yeah, I knew that part. I was hoping for an actual release date, though. not to worry, though! There's gonna be SPN and Merlin all around *happy dances*
*stops*
*sobs* No multi-fandom art? *wibbly lip*
*grins* Yeah, though you spread everything over a few days. Personally I don't have any sort of patience for that. Hence why I tend to much up things often enough.
*pokes* You do realize, people're gonna expect more art from you soon, right?
*snuggles*

Date: 2009-08-20 07:13 am (UTC)I figure as much. And I'll try, not least because I feel I'll get rusty if I don't practice regularly. I'll see how it goes, but I can't force it and there is a very real chance that I might stop arting completely. But who knows, maybe S5 fires me up again. LOL

Date: 2009-08-20 12:37 pm (UTC)I'll have you know my brain screeched to a halt at

Date: 2009-08-20 12:53 pm (UTC)Aww tis ok. Thanks...lol....Good thing you got to see the manip before photobucket took it down. Bandwidth was exceeded and apparently they cut back their free storage. I hope they reset it soon. Otherwise all my work is gone. :(
