Fanart Fun .. or not!

I knew for quite some time that my old monitor tube was slowly dying, which isn't a good thing for a fanartist *lol* The monitor got darker and darker and as a result my art got brighter and brighter and when I got a new monitor this christmas, I was quite shocked how overexposed and washed out my art looked *sigh* I favoured heavy grunge textures the last couple of months and those just don't take overexposing well.

Since I love my SN art to death, I took the time to re-work and adjust all my Supernatural art (well, apart from the banner sets, there is a limit even to my obsession *g*). The light pieces naturally didn't pose a problem, but some of the dark pieces needed a heavy do-over. A whole lot only needed adjustments in brightness/contrast and colour though and were all set again very fast.

So I had a real fun day today *lol*

Personally, I like the art just the way it is, but hey, it's not really my decision. ;P

I don't think you will like it less ;) colours are richer now and mostly only the contrast is better and black is black instead of gray or reddish *lol* If you don't have a direct comparison I doubt you'll see it much, well apart from a couple of pieces ;)

Personally, I always love your art, whether it looks quite as you intended or not. But I know what you mean about monitors - my monitor in work is much darker than the one at home, and just about everything looks completely different on it!

Yeah, I never paid much attention to monitors before I became a fanartist, even back when I was a heavy gamer I was more obsessed with grafic cards than monitors .. nowadays the monitor is important, colour calibration, contrast and brightness play such a huge part when you do art, it's amazing how it influences your work.

Hee. I never paid much attention to monitors until I wanted to watch shows and make art on them - turns out the brightness of the monitor is crucial in those regards!

I wanted 2 caps from episode 4!
a) After they visit the bar owners club for the first time you see Gene and Sam walk along the canal, beautiful lit scene .. a couple of those would be nice
b) a little later you see Sam in the bar over a drink, depressed about the bend cops and him being corrupted, it's the cap from my icon *points upwards*
