A couple of fast wallpapers I made over the last days. I am still kind of focused on brotherly scenes at the moment. *g* I have some concepts in mind for finale art, but that might take a while to realise. Until then I hope you enjoy these as well! :)



Rock On: This is quite obviously the already infamous Bon Jovi scene from the finale. It's just a simple blend. I had some more elaborate plans for this, with some stocks and all, but gradually I removed all extra images because I felt that the scene works best with only the caps and a good composition and not much fuzz going on around it. So I kept it very simple and I think it works fine, especially on a black background!

The Odd Couple: This was the wall that I had initially planned when I started my last wallpaper, but then deviated from the plan and made a comfort 'Happy Winchesters' wall. So, I sat down again and got back to my original idea to make a blend about the typical siblings banter & teasing between the boys. It's pretty self-explanatory I guess. *lol* For those of you who are not familiar with classic movies: The title of the wallpaper refers to the movie of the same name with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, as two men with vastly different lifestyles, who are forced to live in each other's pockets! One of my favourite movies and the images of Sam & Dean reminded me so much of Felix & Oscar, so I had to choose this title.

Definitely agree on the "Rock On!" piece. It doesn't need all that much but instead just bringing out the scene in it is the best decision. The effects on the caps and the placements as well as fonts and placement of those too is perfect. Love it hun! *stares*

"The Odd Couple" cracks me up. Love how you did it with "comic strips" style, and the lack of all colors from the rainbow fits perfectly and helps hold up what the theme is. Using the crimescene font was an excellent idea! Only thing that I noticed was the siluette you have of Dean, might wanna soften up those edges just a tinsy winsy bit ;) Great use of stocks to highlight the issues! :D

Oh, thanks for the tip! *zooms in on the wall* Yeah, you're right the edges are pixel-y. Need to soften that a bit! :) Damn lasso tool! LOL

*stares* Wow, Dean's eyes look so greeeeeen. Very, very gorgeous; the images look so bright and clear against the black background. ♥

Thanks, hon! *hugs* Yeah, at first I thought I make it with a light background, but since the scene plays at night, the black just reflects the atmosphere of the scene better. Hmmm, Dean's eyes are very green in the whole episode, I didn't even need to enhance them for the wall, colourwise.

Oh your wallpapers always do make my day! I loved the Bon Jovi scene, even though I want to burst into tears every time I hear it now, the wallpaper from it is beautiful. You blended it all very well and the coloring it gorgious, I think it brings out the fun of the scene, but almost the seriousness of the lyrics when its thought about,so awesome job! I have to say that The Odd Couple wallpaper made me laugh, it really did. I love all of those brotherly scenes, and you used caps that really got the goos expression on their faces, and I LOVE that you added in the viborating bed and the quarters, that's always been one of my favorite brotherly things. Over all just AWESOMENESS yet again!

Awww!!! Great comfort art Chris! In a time when we're all in shock, I love how each of these revels in what we love about the brothers while never letting the sadness of what has happened creep in.

My favorite is Rock On! I really love the coloring you used with the dark red almost burned edging. I also love the use of lighting allowing the eye to flow from each point of brightness and color. I love how you can enter the story at multiple points and get a different perspective of the same moment.

And who can argue with the squeeness!! of Odd Couple. I love all the quotes and scenes you chose. *hearts*

Aww thank you for the great feedback hon! *hugs* I am pretty pleased with 'Rock On' as well, despite its simpleness. I love how the caps flow together and the gradient gave the whole thing a nice rough edge, without taking the softness away.

Heh, it's funny how the tragic finale set free all these happy wallpapers in me. LOL I made more positive walls over the last 1.5 weeks than I did in a year. *g*

Haha! *hugs* It's true and I'm so glad of that. I'm wallowing in the sad and tragic, and then I feel exploitive of poor Dean's pain and gah, stop working on it. *sobs*

I'm dying to make finale art myself. But I've been trying to design my sister's wedding program and then send it to her to print and see how it looks, so that's been more time consuming than I imagined. Not to mention, she didn't have all the text for me so it trickles in and then I have to rearrange stuff. LOL! Well back to work, I hope I can get it pretty much finished this evening.
