5.02 & 5.04 Episodic Wallpapers

It's Supernatural Thursday and I have some art. :) I still have a couple of conceptual pieces in my mind, but my creative attention was redirected to the emotional turmoil that were the latest episodes, momentarily at least. So, here are my first two S5 wallpapers, two simple episodic pieces for the brotherly scenes in Good God, Y'all and The End. ♥



Back To You: There is nothing meaningful whatsoever going on in this piece. *g* It's a simple episodic blend for the endscene in The End. The scene was beautifully shot and emotionally immensely satisfying, and I really wanted it on my desktop. It is a companion piece to 'Separate Ways' and as such it has warm colours, where the other wallpaper has cool colour tones, and Sam and Dean hold eye contact, while they avoid each others eyes in the second piece.

Separate Ways: This is a pretty straightforward wallpaper for the endscene of Good God, Y'all, where the brothers decide that they should go separate ways, for Sam to deal with his addiction and Dean to be able to focus on the job instead of Sam. It's the first time in the show that the brothers separate in peace and mutual agreement, both are sorrowful, but convinced that it is for the best and gives them the time they need to deal with everything that went down between them in S4. At the center of the wallpaper are two lonely roads, running into different directions, symbolising the diverging paths Sam and Dean have chosen. In their conversation they are barely able to look each other in the eye, so they are half facing each other in my piece, but their eyes are downcast. At the top Sam gently touches the Impala, saying goodbye and at the bottom I chose the moment Sam turns away to leave Dean at the picnic table. I chose a green/blue colour scheme, green symbolising the hope that they will be reunited and the colder blue emphasising the distance between them.

I LOVE the first one. You're right, it's such a beautiful scene and you pictured it so beautifully too. The second one ... well, it's just so SAD! :((( But just as beautiful!

Oh wow... Deine Werke sind so großartig, atemberaubend!
Ich bin jedesmal wieder total begeistert.
Auch in Dein Icon habe ich mich total verliebt. Eine Frage, nimmst Du eigentlich auch Anfragen für ein Avatar und Signaturset entgegen?
Denn wie gesagt Dein Ava und das Back to You Wallpaper, die Färbung, die Übergänge einfach alles begeistert mich so sehr, das ein Set dazu einfach Traumhaft wäre.

Ich freu mich schon wenn jetzt dank der neuen Folgen wieder viele neue Arts und Werke von Dir kommen!!

Danke! ;) Es freut mich dass dir meine Wallpaper so gut gefallen. Es gelingt mir nicht immer, meine Lieblingsszenen zwischen den Brüdern zu meiner Zufriedenheit darzustellen, aber mit diesen beiden bin ich ganz happy.

Also, früher habe ich Anfragen entgegengenommen, aber leider habe ich dafür nicht mehr so viel Zeit. Alle Icons die ich hier poste sind frei verfügbar, also wenn dir etwas gefällt, nimm es dir einfach. Wenn es um dieses spezifische Wallpaper geht (Back To You), dass kann ich leider nicht in ein Signaturset umwandeln, weil ich plane es als neues Layout für meine Website zu verwenden und daher ist es nicht frei verwendbar.

Danke wegen dem Icon. Das habe ich mir dann auch gleich mal gespeichert.
Vieleicht hast Du irgendwann evtl wieder etwas mehr Zeit und dann frage ich nochmal nach wegen einem Set.
Bin schon lange großer Bewunderer Deiner Werke und auch Deiner Reviews. :)

Oh, lovely, both of them! Though have a preference for "Separate Ways" - I like the thing with the two roads. Good point about the eye contact. I've rewatched both episode with my brother yesterday, and it's striking.

Thank you! :) I, too, think 'Separate Ways' is the artistically more complex artwork, 'Back To You' is simply a quick scenic blend and it mostly lives from the emotions conveyed through Jensen and Jared's expressions. But I am glad you like them.

Uh-huh. The JJs work so much with direct eye contact between Sam and Dean that it's always noticeable if they leave it away. :)

Oh wow more art! :) They look great! First off I like Dean as the front and center in "Back To You". *g* He's my fav. The blending came out great and I like the natural coloring plus the emotion and turmoil showing in their faces.

I love the scenes in the "Seperate Ways" that you chose. Beautiful! Sam touching the car as you said to say goodbye gave me goosebumps when I read your description. You can really see the struggle in their relationship and Deans torment as the would-be protector letting go. The two roads really says it all. Nice work on both as always! *Snags both*

Thanks for the feedback, hon! Heh, I am totally on an art trip at the moment. :) I am glad both pieces work for you. I find episodic pieces really challenging, and I am always happy if I manage to actually capture favourite brother moments on canvas to my own satisfaction. It doesn't happen very often. *g*

Ah, so beautiful. Just as the moment when decided to not be apart. That was a horrible sentence. *lol* I'm so giddy to be seeing some Chris arts, I've missed them and so far, this has been an awesome season, I can't wait to see what else you come up with. A little more gushing... the composition in both is fantastic. I love the way you positioned the boys, it speaks so much to what's happening betweeen them. :)
