Thank you! :) Glad you enjoyed the review.

It was perfect, not too overstated and melodramatic, no big yelling scene or tears
That's what I love about it as well. The whole scene is so deceptively simple, Sam's words so plain on the surface, but the context holds a world of meaning. Beautiful. God knows I love hugs and teary-eyed confessions like the next fangirl, but the simple beauty in that scene stuns me every time. It's not often that we see that kind of subtlety in the show. ♥

I suppose Sam's big betrayals were so big that it's hard to see past them for Dean and myself
The thing is, apart from Sam's betrayal of their brotherly bond in S4, I don't think Sam ever really betrayed Dean. Flagstaff, going to Stanford, stubbornly pursuing his own path in Scarecrow and Hunted - those were moments where Sam was inconsiderate towards Dean, selfish, sure, but I don't think he intended to hurt his brother. I never saw Sam's need to go his own way as a bad thing, just the way he achieved his goals has often been too hard-nosed. It's only in S4, where he belittled Dean, tried to kill him, lied to him and deliberately turned his back on him, where he really failed Dean in a big way. That's Sam's only real betrayal in my eyes.

While part of me is protective of the Sam and Dean brotherly bond, part of me would love to see how Show would deal with 3 Winchester brothers
Oh, I am extremely protective of Sam and Dean's brotherly bond as well, but so far I really don't see Adam challenging that bond in any shape or form - there is just no history there. I don't want to see him as a permanent fixture in the show, but I like how he has been used so far, showing us facets to Sam and Dean that no other random character could ever bring out. I really enjoy the character and am sad that fandom just doesn't give him a chance. :(

Did you happen to see his video interview
No, I didn't see the video. *pouts* But I love Kurt Fuller, too. He did a marvellous job with the character. :)

Edlund, Carver, and Gamble are the ones, in my opinion, who are holding the boat together
Tell me about it. :( The thought of Carver leaving really crushes me. He just gets the characters so well. And glad to know that I am not the only one who still mourns Tucker's leave from the show. It's 3 seasons now and I still miss her deft writing.

My faith in the show has slowly been returning ever since 'The Song Remains The Same', really. I think the character centric arc of the 2nd half of the season has been really strong. Just the run from 5x16 to 5x18 gave S5 the final validation as a successful SPN season. :)
