Thank you for the review! I didn't have the same problems with the episode, and it makes me kind of sad that you didn't enjoy it, but well, we can't have them all!
You make good points about Dean's lack of feeling safe during his childhood. It's sad that only now we see Dean wish some of his own innocence had been preserved.
I also think that you're right when you say that Dean would have eventually accepted Sam's powers. He still can - I hope we will see more of Sam's powers.
