Reviews

So, I am lame. I got caught up in real life and other distractions - and completely fell behind with my reviews in the process. The reviews for the last couple of episodes are in varying stages of completion though, and I definitely plan to finish them all during the hiatus and then post them in one go. On the bright side, you all will have something to read during the long, cold winter break. *g*

I will just say so much upfront: All Dogs Go To Heaven was an okay episode for me, I enjoyed the brotherly communication, but the monster-of-the-week plot didn't really engage me. Clap Your Hands If You Believe was funnier than it had any right to be; it's definitely one of the highlights of this season for me. Caged Heat, on the other hand, was my least favourite episode so far, even though I enjoyed some of the character scenes.

Lol, well those initial impressions will do for now, I was curious about that...I figured you wouldn't like 6x10, but disliking it even more than 6x03 eh? I suppose for the stupid OOC publicity stunt stuff with Cas and Meg? I'm curious, which do you dislike more, lol, 6x10 or 4x10? ;)

Well, 6x03 was simply boring in parts, in 6x10 I actively loathe several scenes. The return of the porn jokes annoyed me, especially since I still consider that context OOC for Castiel, and yes, the Meg/Castiel make-out session makes no sense whatsoever to me. Also, torture scenes including genital mutilation? Really, really bad taste IMO! Samuel trying to resurrect Mary makes him look really stupid, I had higher hopes for his plotline. So, overall I was dissatisfied. However, there have been some really great moments with Sam and Dean and I am incredibly excited about the confirmation that Sam's soul might be damaged. I see a lot of hurt/comfort in the brothers' future. LOL

Hm, that's a difficult question. I probably still hate 4.10 more, simply because it's such a disservice to Dean's character arc. I might not like Caged Heat, but at least it doesn't undermine the character arcs. :)

So did I! Of course, that was a slippery slope that led to no reviews at all, but I feel much more rested for it. You'll feel better for allowing yourself a rest, too!

LOL I hope I can escape that slippery slope. The hiatus is pretty long. Should give me enough time to catch up. Of course by then nobody will be interested in reading about those 'old' episodes anymore. LOL

Aww, thanks! :) I'm going to finish them for sure. And I plan on finishing my Swan Song review as well. I have my work cut out for me over Christmas! *g*
