Yeah, I know. I always thought that the real life friendship between the JJs transports to the screen and makes it easier for them to act brotherly, because they don't need to 'act' it. *g* I am not sure how much of my own knowledge about their friendship plays a part in 'seeing' that friendship in Sam and Dean, but the way they are so comfortable around each other in real life is similar to how comfortable they act as Sam and Dean. :)
