Video Recommendation

galatheaI didn't do any video recommendations in a long while, although I still collect them of course, just laziness I guess, but today I saw a vid that just blew me away. It's a trailer video for S5 and it managed to make me more excited for the upcoming season than the show itself. *g*

Dragonfly's video 'The Good Fight' is still one of my all-time favourite Supernatural promo videos and her new S5 video 'The Stand' absolutely hits the same nerve. The video is set to orchestral music, which effortlessly recreates the broad, epic atmosphere of S4 and yet, the insightful voiceovers and the chosen clips from different seasons manage to draw the story together and keep the narrow focus on the brothers. The editing is fast paced, but timed perfectly to the music and the choice of clips wonderfully match the different mood changes in the music. Unfortunately the vidder didn't provide a download link yet, so I can only direct you to her lj-post, but she promised to make a downloadable version available if possible.
